More than 80 migrants were picked up south of the Mediterranean island of Crete on Friday, according to local media citing the Greek coastguard. The coastguard located a 15-metre boat with 85 people on board about 50 nautical miles (93 kilometres) south of Crete. The boat was drifting due to engine failure.
