A 38-year-old man died Thursday night after he was hit by a Jeep while he was walking on a busy Monmouth County highway, investigators announced Friday. The man, who was not identified, was in the left lane of the southbound side of State Highway 35 near Valley Road in Ocean Township when he was hit around 8:15 p.m. by the 2015 Wrangler, according to a statement from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
