Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in a river. Emergency services were called to the scene on Sunday, with the force confirming the death is not being treated as suspicious. The discovery was made in the River Cray, near to Crayford Way in Crayford at around 10.44am. A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers responded along with the Met’s Marine Policing Unit. The body of a man in his 60s was recovered from the water. “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.” The man’s next of kin have been informed.
