A well thought of member of staff at a school has retired after four decades. On Friday, Cavalry Primary School in March said “farewell and happy retirement” to Sue Lambert. She has spent 40 years as school’s crossing patrol officer and 38 years as a midday supervisor/cleaner. She has been a friendly face to so many children and families for all those years, keeping children safe with her ‘lollipop’ whatever the weather, as well as taking care of them across lunchtimes.
