Cambridge United midfielder George Thomas has been ruled out for the ‘long term’ after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee injury. The U’s midfielder sustained the damage after an awkward landing during training on Wednesday – and subsequent scans revealed the news that U’s head coach Garry Monk had feared.
