BMW’s much-heralded Neue Klasse (“New Class”) models, are set to dispense with the brash front grille now common throughout the range. The Neue Klasse platform is specifically for EVs and it integrates batteries into the vehicle’s structure. The packs range from 75 to 150 kilowatt-hours, with the drivetrain supporting 800-volt packs and fast charging at up to 270 kilowatts.
