Former Germany goalkeeper Nadine Angerer is the new goalkeeper coach of the Switzerland women’s national team, the Swiss federation said on Monday. She signed a contract until the end of the women’s Euro 2025 and will work under head coach Pia Sundhage. “I’ve known Pia for 20 years and I appreciate her a lot, both as a coach and as a person. That’s why I didn’t hesitate for long when she asked me,” Angerer said. The former Germany international, who won two World Cup titles, was most recently the goalkeeper coach at her former club Portland Thorns in the United States for eight years.
