A 20-year-old man was attacked with a knife and seriously injured on a train travelling in Germany’s Rhineland on Monday morning. According to a police spokesman, the man’s injuries were not life-threatening. The victim is said to have got into an argument with a 35-year-old while travelling on the train between between the city of Koblenz and the small town of Lahnstein 6 kilometres further south along the Rhine.
