Hockerill Anglo-European College’s under-14 girls triumphed at the East England Tournament. And the under-14 boys were runners-up in their event as the sides enjoyed a memorable day at the Herts and Essex High School. The girls took on Wymondham College, a fellow state boarding school, in a tense final that finished goalless. Penalty shuffles were required and Hockerill goalkeeper Ava made two outstanding saves to help her team win. The boys also performed brilliantly throughout the day and were unfortunate to lose 1-0 to Hitchin in the final.
