By Felix Keith Everton defender Vitaly Mykolenko has been hailed for his bravery after playing on in the Merseyside Derby following a gruesome looking injury. Mykolenko turned his ankle at a horrible angle after landing awkwardly in a collision with Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez in the penalty area near the end of the first half. The Ukraine international went down in agony and looked like he would have to be taken off after a member of Everton’s medical staff rushed on to assess the injury.
