NC State tight end Trent Pennix agreed to a UDFA contract with the Indianapolis Colts, the Wolfpack announced Saturday evening. Pennix, a six-year player at NC State, worked out at the Wolfpack’s pro day as both a tight end and running back to show his versatility. He previously played as a running back at NC State before transitioning to tight end. The Raleigh, N.C., native caught 15 passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns this past season with the Pack.
