Stanhoe Reading Room and Village Hall is hosting its first film screening of this summer season. The musical and 12 age rated film ‘The Color Purple’ will be shown on Monday, May 14 at 7.30pm. Billing itself as “a bold new take on the beloved classic”, this is Alice Walker’s famous novel reinterpreted as a musical.
