Israel’s order for civilians to evacuate Rafah in southern Gaza is “unnacceptable,” the EU’s foreign affairs chief said on Monday. “Israel’s evacuation orders to civilians in Rafah portend the worst: more war and famine. It is unacceptable,” Josep Borrell said on X, formerly known as Twitter. Borrell said Israel must “renounce” a ground offensive on the city. “The EU, with the International Community, can and must act to prevent such [a] scenario.”
