Queues are building after a failure at a well-used level crossing. The A28 Island Road Sturry Crossing, near Canterbury, has shut in both directions. Traffic information provider Inrix says it is due to a level crossing failure between Field Way and the A291 Sturry Hill. The incident is causing delays for motorists who are being diverted away from the route. One witness says police are at the scene, although this has yet to be confirmed. Police, Southeastern and Network Rail have been contacted for more information. Train services are not believed to be affected.
