Vivo announced the X100 and X100 Pro smartphones in China last November. Surprisingly, the brand did not announce the X100 Pro+ model. After a lot of speculation, leaks, and rumors, Vivo has introduced three new devices in the X100 series. These are X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro. As the name suggests, the Ultra is the top-of-the-line model with the flagship cameras in the entire lineup. In this article, read on to find out what the device offers out of the box.
Specifications and features of Vivo X100 Ultra
Starting with the display, the Vivo X100 Ultra has a 6.78-inch curved E7 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels. It has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and support for Dolby Vision. The device is equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for fast and secure unlocking. The smartphone has the same design as the standard and professional versions of the X100, with a round camera module protruding outward. It has been tested for dust and water resistance to IP69 and IP68 standards.
In terms of photography, Vivo X100 Ultra is equipped with a triple rear camera from Zeiss. The main camera consists of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 inch sensor with a focal length of 23 mm. The ultra-wide-angle module has a resolution of 50 megapixels with a focal length of 14 mm and a viewing angle of 116 degrees. The phone has a 200-megapixel 1/1.14-inch HP9 periscope telephoto lens with a focal length of 85 mm. It also has a floating design that allows you to take macro shots with detail. The camera has many professional modes, as well as five focal lengths (24, 28, 35, 50, 85 mm) and an adjustable aperture from f/0.95 to f/16. There is also a basic portrait mode on board.
Vivo X100 Ultra is also equipped with a proprietary V3 image processing chipset. It is capable of recording 4K video at 120 frames per second and 4K video at 60 frames per second with support for HDR Dolby Vision. The front selfie camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels.
The Vivo X100 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It has up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. To dissipate heat, a 3D VC cooling system is installed on board. The smartphone is powered by a 5500 mAh battery with support for 80W and 30W wired and wireless charging. It runs on the OriginOS 4 operating system based on Android 14.

The price of the Vivo x100 Ultra starts at 6,499 yuan (~$898) for the base 12GB + 256GB version. The 16 GB + 512 GB model costs 7,299 Chinese yuan (~$1,009). The top-end 16 GB +1 TB configuration costs 7,999 Chinese yuan (~$1,105). The smartphone is available in titanium, white and space gray colors.
