Tokyo stocks ended higher Tuesday as buying of export-oriented issues was spurred by the weak yen, but the upside was capped amid caution ahead of U.S. inflation data due out later in the week. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 176.60 points, or 0.46 percent, from Monday at 38,356.06. The broader Topix index finished 6.87 points, or 0.25 percent, higher at 2,730.95.
