Last week, the G85 5G was spotted on the website of a European retailer. Now, it has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, revealing some hardware specifications. The upcoming novelty will replace last year’s Moto G84 5G model.

Moto G85 5G is equipped with a motherboard codenamed “malmo”. The eight-core processor consists of six cores with a clock speed of 2.02 GHz and two cores with a clock speed of 2.30 GHz. There is an Adreno 619 graphics processor. The processor seems to be unannounced and is speculated to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3. Because the GPU is found on Snapdragon 695 and 480 with different clock speeds.

Moto G85 5G has 8 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 14 out of the box. In the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests, the smartphone scored 939 and 2,092 points, respectively. The benchmark database does not contain any additional information about the smartphone.

According to the list of retailers, the Moto G85 5G may be available with 12GB + 256GB of RAM and storage. Its price will be approximately 300 euros, which is the same as its predecessor.

As a reminder, Moto G84 5G (review) has a 6.55-inch FHD+ POLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is a 50-megapixel OIS main camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W charging support.
