A North Bergen man who attempted to hire a person to murder a woman has been arrested after police were tipped off, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Miguel Cortes, 37, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a first-degree offense after his arrest outside his Paterson Plank Road home by the prosecutor’s office’s Major Case Unit Tuesday.
