A man has been arrested in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries, officials said. Police responded to the scene of the crash at 1:24 a.m. on Monday on Jersey Avenue in New Brunswick. The pedestrian, a 25-year-old man, was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. The vehicle involved had already fled the area when officers arrived, authorities said.
