The New York Times reports that a network of officials and politicians affiliated with Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s party has been campaigning to deport Ukrainian children out of Kherson. At the beginning of the Russian occupation of the city, the staff of the Kherson orphanage managed to move the children to the basement under fire.
