On June 5, Oppo hosted a press event in London to announce that it will provide generative artificial intelligence features to 50 million users worldwide by the end of this year. According to GSMArena, the company has revealed the global launch of the Reno 12 series and next-generation Find X smartphones.
Global launch of Reno 12 series in June
The report says that the Reno 12 series of smartphones will debut on the global market at the end of this month (June). Last month (May), the Reno 12 and 12 Pro debuted in China with the Dimensity 8250 and Dimensity 9200+ chipsets. It is unclear whether the same phones will be released in global markets.
During the event, the company demonstrated the teaser image above. Although the company did not reveal anything else about the Reno 12 series, the image suggests that a standard and Pro model may appear on the global market.
Oppo Find X series returns to the global market
In February 2022, Oppo introduced the Find X5 series of smartphones. Oppo went on to launch the X6 and X7 series in China, but skipped these devices for markets outside of China.
According to reports, the Find X8 with the upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset will debut in October this year in China. The Find X8 Ultra, which will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is expected to potentially hit the market in the first quarter of 2025. Now that the brand has confirmed that the Find X series will return to the global market, it remains to be seen whether the X8 and X8 Ultra will be available internationally.
