By Farzan Sabet The Islamic Republic of Iran is set to hold a snap presidential election following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on May 19. A total of 81 individuals successfully registered by the deadline of 03 June to be considered as potential candidates in the upcoming vote. The Council of Guardians will vet these registrants from 04 to 10 June and the approved candidates will be announced on 11 June.
