Years of traffic misery and disruption to residents’ daily lives could be set to end after highways chiefs revealed a controversial junction upgrade scheme on the outskirts of Bishop’s Stortford will be completed on Thursday (June 13). The upgrade of junction 8 of the M11 at Birchanger Green, which includes replacing the roundabout at the intersection of the A120 with Birchanger Lane and the A1250 Dunmow Road with a signalised junction, was supposed to be finished at the end of last year.
