A group of sailors are inviting people to have a go after a successful open day on the waters. Ouse Amateur Sailing Club pushed through a rainy morning into a sunnier afternoon as they let visitors try their hand at the sport. Families were shown around the site at Saddlebow and were able to see the variety of boats on the water as well as paddle boards and a Canadian Canoe. The event was part of the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA’s) campaign Discover Sailing, which is held annually, giving resources and support to clubs wanting to run open days or taster sessions.
