Indies Child of Courage winner Arthur Bowie has had life-changing surgery after a charity footed the bill. After five days recovering in Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, the five-year-old has returned home to recuperate with mum Paula, dad Andy and little brother Anderson. Paula said: “Arthur did amazing and the whole team are supper happy with how he did.” The family has been fundraising frantically for more than two years so the pupil at Bentfield Primary School in Stansted can have the chance to walk.
