Villagers gathered to remember the Fallen of D-Day and to celebrate at Walpole St Andrew on Saturday, June 8. Despite a rain shower at 11am a good crowd turned out to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. St Andrew’s Church bells were rung from 10am to 11am summoning people to the summer fair that was held at the same time. The fair was held on the Swingfield and saw an array of stalls.
