A 37-year-old shoplifter who threw a pen at a staff member’s face in John Lewis in Cambridge has been jailed. Daryl Stevenson entered the Downing Street store on 5 June, where he picked up a bottle of Rum worth £29 and went to leave without paying. He was confronted by staff and ran out the shop before throwing a pen, which narrowly missed their head. Stevenson, of East Road, Cambridge, was arrested by neighbourhood officers in High Street, March, on 10 June after Costa Coffee reported a man had stolen two sausage sandwiches worth a total of £7.98.
