The device has previously received key certificates that reveal some key details and hint at its imminent arrival. It will replace the Vivo Y27s, which was introduced in November last year. Vivo Y28s 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD display with a water-drop notch and thick chin. It has an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 840 nits. The phone has a side fingerprint scanner built into the power button. The rear camera module is rectangular. The device is protected against water according to the IP64 standard.
Vivo Y28s 5G has a dual rear camera with a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP secondary lens. In front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It comes with a night mode and built-in filters.
Inside, the Vivo Y28s 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It is combined with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. For additional needs, the memory can be expanded up to 1 TB using a microSD card slot. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging support. The specifications page indicates that the charger is not included for the markets of Europe, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. In terms of software, the device comes with Android 14 based on Funtouch OS 14 out of the box. Connectivity options for the Y28s 5G include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm jack.
Vivo has not revealed the price of the Y28s 5G smartphone. It is available in Mocha Brown and Twinkle Purple colors.
