Recently, iQOO confirmed that it will launch the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ smartphone on July 11 in China. In the Chinese market, the performance-oriented phone will compete with devices such as the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and Realme GT 6, which are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will also compete with the Redmi K70 Ultra, which is expected to feature the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. Today, Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s vice president of brand and general manager of brand and product strategy, took to Weibo to officially confirm the key specifications of the Neo 9S Pro+.
Main features of the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+
Jingdong has confirmed that iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as well as iQOO’s own Q1 graphics chip to enhance the gaming experience. A special scheduling algorithm was developed to intelligently distribute tasks between Snapdragon and Q1 eSports chips. The system automatically allocates more resources to the eSports chip to improve gaming performance when it detects a game. In addition, a sophisticated power management strategy dynamically adjusts the power consumption of the two chips in different scenarios, thereby extending battery life.
Speaking of battery life, iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. Despite the large battery capacity, the device will retain a thin profile of 7.99 mm. The phone will come pre-installed with Android 14 based on OriginOS 4.0.
For security purposes, the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ will be the company’s first phone to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. For those who don’t know, the Neo 9S Pro+ will be released as an updated version of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro with the Dimensity 9300 processor, which was announced last December.
Compared to the Neo 9 Pro, the upcoming Neo 9S Pro+ will have three major improvements: chipset, battery size, and a new fingerprint scanning solution. Like the Neo 9 Pro, the 9S Pro+ will have a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide-angle) dual camera setup. The availability of the device in markets outside of China remains unclear.
