A player wanted by Nottingham Forest in August 2023 is now firmly off the agenda for the current transfer window. It proved a late night for the football club on transfer deadline day last summer. Forest had lots of gaps to fill in their squad and ended up adding a further six players on deadline day as the window slammed shut. One of those to join in a mad dash at the eleventh hour was striker Divock Origi – but he wasn’t the club’s first choice. That was a striker who had been fancied by the son of Evangelos Marinakis, Miltos, but now any deal for him this summer will be out of the question….
