Three boaters were rescued from a New Jersey creek Wednesday after their small vessel partially sank, according to rescue officials. The boat began taking on water in Fortescue Creek in the marshlands in Cumberland County that lead into the Delaware Bay, the Downe Township Fire and Rescue Squad said Thursday. Water overwhelmed the vessel about one mile from Downe Township’s Fortescue section, causing it to partially capsize, rescue officials said.
