The suspect who apparently shot former President Donald Trump has reportedly been taken “down” by law enforcement. A law enforcement official has told The Atlantic’s Tim Alberta that “the suspect is down,” although there is not yet any indication of whether that means the suspect is dead or merely in custody. Gun shots were fired on Saturday evening at a Trump rally, with at least one shot apparently striking the former president. Secret Service agents rushed in to guard him in front of a stunned crowd.
