Clashes between police and some 600 pro-Palestinian protesters in Berlin’s Steglitz district resulted in injuries to both demonstrators and police officers, police in the German capital reported on Sunday. Seven protesters and 17 police officers were injured, and 28 criminal charges were laid, they said. The charges related to causing injury, attempting to release detained persons, resisting the police and incitement. Five charges relating to assault on police officers were also laid.
