It was a real community effort to give a proper farewell to a much-loved head teacher. Sandringham and West Newton Primary School said farewell to its executive head Jane Gardener on Tuesday by hosting an event in West Newton’s village hall where staff, students and parents were invited. The farewell event tied in nicely with the school’s annual community tea party. Children made cakes for the event, in line with the school’s Christian value of the term being “service”.
