Germany will be without Lena Oberdorf for the Olympic tournament starting next week as the key midfielder has suffered a severe knee injury. The German Football Federation (DFB) said an MRI scan in Munich on Wednesday revealed cruciate and medial collateral ligament damage in her right knee. Oberdorf sustained the injury when she got stuck in the turf during Germany’s 4-0 victory over Austria on Tuesday.
