Honor recently launched the Honor Magic V3 series of folding phones, the MagicPad 2 tablet, and the Honor MagicBook Art 14 laptop in China. The brand is reportedly working on the Magic 7 series of flagship phones. Today, a Digital Chat Station informant published a post on Weibo in which he leaked what appears to be the key specifications of the standard variant of the Magic 7.
Honor Magic 7 key specs (rumored)
According to the leak, Honor Magic 7 will feature a 1.5K display and a large silicon battery. Three 50-megapixel cameras are reportedly present on the back of the current engineering prototype of the device.
He added that the device is being tested with an OmniVision OV50H primary camera and a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera. The device will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in October this year. Many upcoming flagships, such as the Xiaomi 15 series, iQOO 12, OnePlus 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, and so on, are expected to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
A recent leak showed that one of the Magic 7 series phones will have an OLED panel from Tandem, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, 6000 mAh+ battery, and a triple camera with 50MP (OV50K, main) + 50MP (OV50H) + 200MP (Samsung HP3, telephoto). These specifications may apply to Magic 7 Pro or Magic 7 Ultimate.
The Magic 6 series of smartphones was announced in January this year. So, it is likely that the Magic 7 line may appear in January 2025.
