The number of pharmacies in Germany continues to fall, and has reached an all-time low. There are currently 17,288 pharmacies across the country, according to data from the Federal Union of German Pharmacists’ Associations (ABDA). Since the beginning of the year, the number has fallen by 283. The number of pharmacies shrank by 238 in the first half of 2023 and by 205 in the first half of 2022.
