Influential honorary president Uli Hoeness says Bayern Munich would benefit should they ever be able to prise Florian Wirtz away from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. The Germany star was a large reason behind Leverkusen dethroning Bayern last term. “Everyone knows that I would love to see him at Bayern Munich,” the 72-year-old Hoeness told reporters in Seligenporten, where he was celbrating the 75th anniversary of Bavarian amateur club SV Seligenporten. Wirtz has a contract with Leverkusen until 2027 and recently said: “I feel comfortable in Leverkusen, so I’m excited to see what happen…
