Trains are delayed after a person was hit by a train earlier this morning. The incident occurred between Newark Castle and Lincoln stations, on East Midlands Railway’s Leicester/ Lincoln/ Grimsby, Peterborough/ Lincoln/ Doncaster and Newark North Gate/ Lincoln routes. At 7.21am, the operator posted an update stating: “We are sad to report a person has been hit by a train between Lincoln and Newark Castle. Trains cannot run between Lincoln and Newark Castle.
