In response to Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Colette Peters’ testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) introduced the “Resentencing Integrity Act of 2024” today. The proposed legislation aims to prevent federal prosecutors from retaliating against January 6th defendants petitioning for resentencing. Before the Supreme Court’s decision in Fischer v.
