Former LSU star Tommy White has inked a Major League Baseball contract with the Oakland Athletics after they selected him in the second round of the 2024 MLB Draft. According to Jim Callis of MLB.com, White signed for $3 million, well above the listed slot value for his selection at No. 40 overall of $2,332,100. That’s great news for the former Tigers standout. White won a national title at LSU and put together back-to-back monster seasons for the Tigers en route to becoming a second-round pick.
