Dozens of officers began raiding the Blue Mosque in Hamburg early on Wednesday morning, according to a dpa reporter on the ground. The mosque, located in a central upmarket area on the shore of the northern German city’s Outer Alster Lake, is run by the Islamic Centre Hamburg (IZH) which Germany’s domestic intelligence service considers to be controlled by Iran.
