The leader of Bishop’s Stortford Town Council was injured when a boy on an electric scooter ploughed into her on a pedestrian crossing. Cllr Miriam Swainston, 65, suffered head and leg lacerations and needed hospital treatment. She is urging parents to ensure children do not ride the machines illegally.
