A new report claims that former Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson, who has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Springfield, Illinois resident Sonya Massey, was discharged by the United States Army for “serious misconduct.” According to IPM News, military records obtained from one of Grayson’s previous employers show that he was discharged from the military in 2016 for what was labeled as “Misconduct (Serious Offense).” The records do not go into further detail about the nature of Grayson’s offense, which took place at the Fort Riley Army installation in Kansas.
