HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. \- Otis Kitchen II, the 45-year-old principal of Town and Country Elementary School, was arrested for DUI and fleeing to elude law enforcement on July 26, 2024. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies observed Kitchen driving erratically, nearly causing accidents, and running a red light. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, Kitchen fled, leading them on a brief chase before parking in his garage. Upon exiting his vehicle, he exhibited clear signs of intoxication.
