BP, the British energy conglomerate, posted on Tuesday a second quarter replacement cost (RC) loss of $16 million compared to last year’s $2.34 billion profit. Loss for the period attributable to bp shareholders was $129 million, compared to a profit of $1.79 billion last year. Loss per American Depository Shares (ADS) was $0.05, compared to profit of $0.60 per ADS a year earlier. Underlying RC profit was $2.76 billion, compared to $2.59 billion last year.
