New plans which could see a former office block become even more flats have been drawn up. The latest application for the vacant NatWest building, in Chatham Maritime, is seeking permission to change the use of all three floors to create 68 apartments. In August 2022, Medway Council approved proposals submitted by the bank to convert the office space into residential use. The scheme was for 27 one-bedroom and 33 two-bedroom flats with allocated parking and cycle spaces.
