Giovanni De Gennaro claimed a fourth gold for Italy at the Paris Games with victory in the men’s kayak competition on Thursday. The Italian had a perfect race through the 23 gates and clocked the best time of 88.22 seconds, defeating France’s Titouan Castryck by only 0.20. Bronze went to Pau Echaniz of Spain.
