Vivo is expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone, the X200 series, sometime in October. Today, a reliable informant, Digital Chat Station (DCS), shared details about the battery of the larger Pro model.
According to rumors, the X200 series will be the first commercially available series of phones based on the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.
DCS previously reported on the size difference between the models: the standard X200 will have a compact 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch display, while the X200 Pro will have a larger 6.7-inch screen. According to the latest leak, the X200 Pro may come with a large battery with a capacity of more than 6,000 mAh.
Packing such a large battery could raise concerns about the weight and thickness of the devices. However, DCS speculates that Vivo may use the same fiberglass body material as the recently released X Fold 3 series to mitigate these concerns.
In addition to the battery, previous leaks suggest that the X200 Pro will have a 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to have a micro-curved design on all four sides and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for added security.
As for the camera, the X200 Pro is rumored to feature Sony’s custom 22nm 50-megapixel primary sensor with a large 1/1.28-inch size and a wide f/1.57 aperture. This primary sensor is likely to be paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200-megapixel high-resolution periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
While these leaks indicate the impressive capabilities of the X200 Pro, it’s important to note that Vivo has yet to confirm official specifications. We’ll need to wait for Vivo’s official announcement in October to confirm these details and see the final X200 Pro’s specs.
