Cambridge United’s new signings Ryan Loft and Gary Gardner – along with Jordan Cousins – have all ‘picked up knocks’ and are set to miss the Sky Bet League One season opener at Stockport County on 10 August. Neither striker Loft nor attacking midfielder Gardner have featured for the U’s in pre-season, while Cousins has been part of squads for earlier friendlies.
